Crittenden County Detention Center Overview
The Crittenden County Sheriff's Office detention-center page identifies the county jail as the detention facility at 350 Afco Road in West Memphis. The jail is operated by the sheriff's office, not by Arkansas DOC. It receives people arrested by the Crittenden County Sheriff's Office, West Memphis Police Department, Marion Police Department, Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Highway Police, and other agencies that use the county jail for local custody. A roster entry may show the arresting agency, but that field does not change the jail operator.
The county facility holds a mixed local population: new arrestees, people waiting for a first court appearance, detainees with a bond amount shown on the jail roster, sentenced local jail commitments, and people held on court or agency holds. A person who has moved to state custody may no longer appear on the county roster. For that reason, Crittenden County inmate lookup work often starts at the jail and then branches to Search ARCourts, Arkansas DOC, BOP, or ICE when the custody path has changed.
The official detention-center screenshot below comes from the sheriff's jail information page, which is the local source for the jail address and the detention-center navigation.
That page is useful because it keeps the county jail services together: online roster, visitation, commissary deposits, and bond information.
Crittenden County Jail Roster Lookup
The sheriff's online jail roster page embeds the official public roster, and the direct RPS/myr2m roster is the fallback when the frame is hard to use. The roster is free and public. It is a browse-and-filter list rather than a single blank search box. Users can switch between Current Inmates, New Inmates, and Recent Releases. The web roster lets users sort by arrested date or name, select a listed name from a dropdown, and change page size.
For current custody, use the Current Inmates tab first. If the arrest is very recent, also check the New Inmates tab, which is labeled for bookings in the last 48 hours. If a person was listed earlier and then disappeared, check the Recent Releases tab before assuming transfer. A release tab result may explain a missing current roster result, while a state transfer may require the Arkansas DOC locator.
The roster screenshot below comes from the direct current-inmates roster and shows the county jail list controls and live roster style.
The live count can change during the day, so it should be treated as a roster snapshot rather than a fixed jail capacity or annual population number.
- Open the sheriff roster wrapper or the direct RPS/myr2m current roster.
- Check Current Inmates for people still in Crittenden County jail custody.
- Use New Inmates for bookings in the last 48 hours and Recent Releases for short-term release checks.
- Compare name, age, race/sex, city or state, arresting agency, arrested date, charges, and bond when listed.
- If there is no match, search Arkansas DOC for state custody and Search ARCourts for court filings.
Note: The RPS-Inmate Info app is a separate sheriff-approved roster path; the web roster and app do not describe every window the same way.
Crittenden County Jail Address
For facility contact, use the jail and sheriff numbers published by the sheriff's office. The administrative or jail main number is the practical first call for general custody questions, while dispatch is the non-emergency law-enforcement number. Report copies use a separate administrative-services contact, and court records should route to the court clerk or Search ARCourts rather than the jail.

Sheriff administrative services lists accident and incident report copies as available Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a $10 report-copy fee through Pat or Patricia Joplin at 870-702-2029. That report-copy process is not the same as an inmate lookup, a bond question, or a certified court-record request.
Crittenden County Jail Visitation
Crittenden County Detention Center visitation is video visitation through City Tele-Coin, by appointment only. The sheriff visitation page says visitors must call 870-702-2052 each week for an appointment, and no other sheriff department phone number can set, cancel, or take schedule messages. Visits are first come, first served. The jail permits one 15-minute visit per inmate per week and does not offer contact visits.
Visitors must register with the correctional officer in charge of visitation and bring state-issued identification. Visitors under 18 must be with a parent or guardian and must have a birth certificate or proof of guardianship. The local rules also bar disruptive behavior, profanity, revealing clothing, personal electronics, handbags, backpacks, smoking, loitering, drugs, alcohol, intoxicated visits, and visits blocked by a no-contact order.
| Day | Inmate Last Name | Video Visit Times |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday | A-F | 8:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. |
| Wednesday | G-L | 8:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. |
| Thursday | M-R | 8:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. |

The image below is from the official Crittenden County visitation page and captures the City Tele-Coin appointment rules.
The schedule is tied to the first letter of the inmate's last name, so a name spelling issue can affect both roster lookup and visit planning.
Crittenden County Commissary and Bond
The sheriff commissary page lists three ways to place money on a detainee account. Online deposits go through Tiger Commissary and accept major credit cards. A lobby kiosk at Crittenden County Detention Center accepts major credit cards and cash. Money orders can be mailed to the Crittenden County Sheriff Department at the jail address, with the detainee's name on the money order. The sheriff page says no personal checks are accepted.
| Service | Confirmed Local Detail |
|---|---|
| Online commissary | Tiger Commissary; detainee name required |
| Lobby kiosk | Credit card and cash deposits at the detention center |
| Mail money order | Crittenden County Sheriff Dept., 350 Afco Rd., West Memphis, AR; no personal checks |
| Commissary phone | 870-702-2096, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. |
The deposit screenshot is from the official sheriff deposit-money page, which names Tiger Commissary, the lobby kiosk, and mailed money orders.
County jail deposits should not be sent through Arkansas DOC banking unless the person is actually in state DOC custody.
Bond information is separate from commissary money. The sheriff bond page directs users to licensed bail bond companies and states that the Sheriff's Office and Detention Center do not recommend a company. The sheriff administrative-services page says the public lobby is open 24/7 for payments and bonds, Circuit Court payment plans and misdemeanor bonds may be paid 24/7, and felony bonds can only be made from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
| Payment or Bond | Published Hours |
|---|---|
| Public lobby | Open 24/7 for payments and bonds |
| Circuit Court payment plans | Front window, 24 hours per day |
| Misdemeanor bonds | 24 hours per day, seven days per week |
| Felony bonds | 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. |
The bond screenshot comes from the Crittenden County bond information page, including the sheriff's no-recommendation statement.
A bond amount on the roster is only a starting point. Holds, no-contact orders, court conditions, warrants, and felony bond hours can still affect release.
Crittenden County Jail Capacity
No sheriff-published rated capacity was located for Crittenden County Detention Center in the official county sources reviewed. That gap should stay visible because East Central Arkansas Community Correction Center has a separate rated capacity, and using that state residential-center number for the county jail would be wrong. The county roster is also not a capacity report. It shows a live custody list that can change as people are booked, released, bonded, transferred, or moved to another agency.
Research located historical Vera county jail data and a May 28, 2026 roster snapshot around 134 current inmates, but those figures serve different purposes. Vera data is a research dataset. The roster count is a point-in-time web display. Neither should be rewritten as the current official bed capacity of the jail.
Crittenden County Booking Records
The sheriff pages do not publish a full local booking manual, so public instructions should stay with confirmed record paths. The roster shows the arrested date and time, arresting agency, charge descriptions, bond when listed, photo, name, race, sex, age, and city or state. It does not show a booking number, full date of birth, housing pod, judge, court date, warrant number, statute code, attorney, or next hearing in the public web entries inspected.
- Booking charge
- The charge label shown at jail intake. It may not match the final filed court charge.
- Hold
- A jail or agency reason that may keep a person in custody even when a bond amount appears.
- Pretrial detainee
- A person held before final conviction or sentence in the current case.
- State custody
- Arkansas DOC custody after transfer, sentence, or community-correction placement.
Once a prosecutor files charges, court records become the better source for case number, court events, charge status, pleas, judgments, and dispositions. For that stage, use Search ARCourts or the Circuit Clerk rather than treating the jail roster as a complete court record.
Crittenden County Jail Programs
The sheriff site confirms local jail services such as video visitation, commissary deposits, bond/payment access, online roster access, and the RPS-Inmate Info app. It did not publish a county jail program page for GED, substance-abuse classes, religious services, a law library, medical provider, grievance procedure, inmate handbook, or classification details. Arkansas minimum jail standards provide statewide context for detainee rights, classification, medical and mental-health access, exercise, and programs to the extent possible, but those standards should not be described as proof that a specific local program is offered at Crittenden County Detention Center.
The RPS-Inmate Info app page is a confirmed local supplement. It advertises current jail population, booked and released windows, quick searches by name or booking date, visiting hours, directions, and arrest, charge, and bond amount information without calling the Sheriff's Office. The web roster inspected for Crittenden County showed photo, name, race/sex/age, city or state, arrest date, arresting agency, charges, and bond when listed, so app-advertised fields should be treated as app features rather than guaranteed web-roster fields.
Note: Confirm custody, bond status, and visit appointments with the jail before traveling to 350 Afco Road.
